Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 9, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage that Emunah AI ("Emunah AI", "we", "us" or "our") uses on https://emunahtrips.com (the "Service"), what each one does, how long it lasts, and the choices you have. It is part of our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies and browser storage are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Websites can also keep information in your browser's own storage: localStorage keeps it until it is deleted, sessionStorage keeps it only until you close the tab, and Cache Storage keeps copies of website files so pages load faster. In this policy, "cookies" covers all of these.
2. Your choice about analytics
We use analytics cookies only if you agree. On your first visit, a banner explains this, and analytics stays off until you press OK. You can change your choice at any time in Cookie Settings, at the bottom of every page: choose "Decline analytics" and analytics stops straight away. Declining does not affect your searches or bookings.
The essential storage in Section 3 is needed for the Service to work, so it is always on and is not part of Cookie Settings.
3. Essential storage (always on)
- Your sign-in (sb-wvripsyiavtgcsdrqeef-auth-token). Keeps you signed in. It is kept in sessionStorage and cleared when you close the tab. If you tick "Remember me" when you sign in, it is kept in localStorage instead, until you sign out or your session expires.
- "Remember me" (emunah_remember_me, localStorage). Remembers that you ticked "Remember me". Removed when you untick it.
- Your cookie choice (emunah_cookie_consent, localStorage). Remembers whether you pressed OK or declined analytics, so we don't ask on every visit. Kept until you change it or clear your browser's data for our site.
- Sign-in protection (login_fail_count in sessionStorage; login_lockout_until in localStorage). Counts failed sign-in attempts in your tab and, after 10 failed attempts, pauses sign-in on your browser for 15 minutes. Both are removed when you sign in successfully.
- Payment check (emunah.pendingCheckout, sessionStorage). When you start a Premium payment, keeps your previous Premium end date and the time you started, so we can confirm the right payment when you return from PayMongo. Removed once your payment is confirmed, and ignored after 24 hours.
- One charge per search (emunah-backfill-keys, sessionStorage). Keeps a reference for each "Search this" request, so trying again never uses a second search.
- Site updates (emunah-chunk-reload-at, sessionStorage). If we publish an update while you are on the site, lets the page reload itself once to load the new version, without reloading again and again.
- Website hosting (__dpl cookie, 24 hours). Set by our website host, Lovable, when the site is delivered to your browser.
4. Preferences and convenience
- Theme (emunah-theme, localStorage). Saved only when you choose Light, Dark or System in the menu.
- Currency (emunah_display_currency, localStorage). Saved only when you choose a currency in the menu.
- Email for your next sign-in (emunah_last_email, localStorage). Fills in the email box the next time you sign in or reset your password — only if you ticked "Remember me".
- Your conversation in this tab (emunah-chat-snapshot, sessionStorage). Keeps your chat and the results of up to 20 recent searches, so they are still there if you refresh or come back to the chat in the same tab. For a "near me" search, it includes the location your browser shared for that search. Cleared when you close the tab or sign out.
- Philippine-time notice (emunah-manila-date-note, sessionStorage). If your device is set to another time zone, remembers that we have told you search dates use Philippine time, so we say it only once per tab.
- Desktop app banner (emunah_a2hs_dismissed, sessionStorage). Remembers that you closed the "Add Emunah AI to your desktop" banner.
- Scroll position (tsr-scroll-restoration-v1_3, sessionStorage). Takes you back to the same place on a page when you go back.
- Faster loading (emunah-assets-v4, Cache Storage). Copies of the website's own program and style files, so pages open faster and Emunah AI can be installed as an app. It holds no personal information and keeps at most 200 files.
5. Analytics (only after you press OK)
If you press OK, we load Google Analytics 4 through Google Tag Manager to understand how the Service is used — for example, which pages are visited and how many searches are started — so we can improve it. Google Analytics then sets two first-party cookies on emunahtrips.com:
- _ga — 2 years — used to distinguish users.
- _ga_ followed by our Analytics ID — 2 years — used to persist session state.
These descriptions and lifetimes are Google's own. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. If you later choose "Decline analytics", we remove these two cookies from your browser. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell your personal information.
6. Security checks and other technologies
- Cloudflare Turnstile. When you sign up, sign in, reset your password, ask for a new verification email or send us a message, an invisible check from Cloudflare confirms you are not a bot. It gives your browser a one-time token that is checked when you submit the form. Cloudflare describes its practices in its Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
- Device check. To keep free searches fair, the Service calculates a one-way code from basic details of your browser and screen (such as screen size, language and time zone) and sends it with your searches and when you sign up. It is not stored in your browser and is not used for advertising.
- Your location. Used only for a "near me" search, and only if you allow it when your browser asks.
7. Other websites
When you open a booking partner from a result, open a place in Google Maps, or pay for Premium on PayMongo's page, you leave Emunah AI. Those sites use their own cookies under their own policies — for example, a partner may use a cookie to record that you came from Emunah AI, which is how we may earn a commission. We do not control those cookies.
The Stay22 map. A hotel search can show a map of places to stay from our booking partner Stay22. Nothing from Stay22 loads until you tap "Show map". The map then appears inside our page but comes from stay22.com, so Stay22, not Emunah AI, sets and controls its cookies under its own privacy policy. Stay22 says its map uses one cookie of its own, a session ID for performance reporting, and two cookies from Google Analytics and Mixpanel. Your choice in Cookie Settings covers our own analytics only. If you'd rather not load the map, use "See available stays" instead.
8. Managing and deleting cookies
- Change your analytics choice at any time in Cookie Settings, at the bottom of every page.
- Signing out clears everything kept for your tab (your conversation and the other sessionStorage items).
- Leave "Remember me" unticked when you sign in to stay signed in only until you close the tab.
- Your browser's settings let you delete everything a site has stored (often called "clear cookies and site data"). If you do, you will be signed out and your preferences will reset.
9. Changes to this policy
When we change how we use cookies, we will update this policy and its "Last updated" date.
